Cove High School safe after shooting threat

COPPERAS COVE, Texas - A Threat to shoot up a local high school did not follow through Monday. 

An anonymous threat made at a abandoned car wash read 'I will shoot up Copperas Cove High School on 3-20-17.

Extra law enforcement was present at the school Monday and no incidents were reported. 

A spokesperson from the district refused to comment whether attendance numbers dropped Monday due to the threat. 

Police say no one has been arrested for the threat, but a felony like that can put someone behind bars for up to 10 years.
