KILLEEN, Texas - A police officer and a man who ran away from him were both taken to a hospital following a chase.
A Killeen officer pulled over a vehicle at the intersection of Victoria Street and Adams Ave around 7:30 Monday night.
After being pulled over, the driver took off running.
Over eight police officers responded looking for the driver that was running towards a nearby open field.
An officer caught up to him and during the scuffle the two somehow bumped heads falling to the ground.
They were both transported to an area hospital.
The officer has been released and the suspect will be headed to jail once he is released from the hospital.
Police say the investigation is ongoing to see if additional charges will be added.
