Man charged with making death threat, threats of injury

WACO, TX - A forty-year-old Waco man has been arrested and is being held on harassment charges, accused of making threats against his former girl friend and her new boy friend.

Randall Ray Holder is accused in court papers of making multiple threatening cell phone calls to the victim threatening to kill the victim or inflict bodily injury.

An arrest affidavit quotes a message left on her cell phone saying he knew what she and her boy friend were doing and saying " Hey, you gonna pay for what you did to me, I promise you, you will and that's not a threat, that's a promise."

Court papers also refer to messages threatening to beat them both.

Court papers indicated the victim kept the messages in her voice mail.

In addition to the new charge, Holder is also being held without a bond being set on a parole violation charge.

TDCJ records who Holder was sent to the prison system in January 2016 to serve a three year sentence for possession of a controlled substance ( cocaine) out of McLennan County and was paroled in July of that year, with the parole to end in March 2018.

He had prior convictions for burglary and assault family violence.
