Diapers and books delivered for kids

WACO, TX - Volunteers from Domtar Corporation's Waco facility Thursday spent some time away from the job delivering diapers and books for families in need.

Over 1500 baby care packages were distributed at the Waco Diaper Bank and at the Talitha Koum Institute.

Each care package included two cases of diapers and three books.

The books were donated by Domtar through its partnership with First Book, a non profit social project that provides books to children in need.

Seven hundred care packages were dropped off at Talitha Koum which will help thirty families that take part in their programs with the rest goign elsewhere.

Talitha Koum is a school that caters to newborn to five year olds from low income families.

The Domtar facility in Waco employees 200 people making diapers with the company nationally making a variety of products from sustainable wood fiber, such as copy paper and diapers.

Other care packages went to the Waco Diaper Bank which partners with social service agencies to provide diapers to Waco and McLennan County families in need.
