COLLEGE STATION, TX - One Texas A&M fraternity has shown its support of law enforcement through hard work and donated the proceeds to the College Station Police Department.
Thursday, members of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity from Texas A&M met with Police Chief Scott McCollum and presented him with a check to be used in accomplishing the mission of the department.
The money came from the Phi Delta Theta “Backs the Blue” event that was held on February 19, 2017.
The fraternity sponsored a concert, raffles, silent auction and sold T-shirts to raise over $2,000.00 for local law enforcement.
The check was delivered by Phi Delta Theta members, Amado Martinez said he and his Phi Delta brothers understood the thankless job that officers do on a daily basis.
The Phil Delta Theta fraternity wanted to show their support and appreciation to members of the College Station Police Department for all that they do to protect our community
